Bryan Collegiate and Bryan High Students 'Commended' in National Merit Scholarship Program

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced that five Bryan ISD students from Bryan Collegiate High School and Bryan High have been named Commended Students in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program.

A Letter of Commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, will be presented by school principals to these scholastically talented seniors:

Daniel Davidson

Bryan High
Abigail C. Spiegelman (early graduate 2014)
Jackson R. Ross
Douglas L. Edge

About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic performance. These students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2015 competition by taking the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

According to NMSC, students named as “Commended” have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success and represent a valuable national resource.
