High School Testing

Beginning in 2011-2012, the State of Texas began requiring students to take the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) end-of-course (EOC) exams in five subjects. This will replace the TAKS test. Members of the graduating class of 2015 (students entering 9th grade in 2011-2012) will be the first class held to the STAAR standards.
Students will take exams based on the courses they are enrolled in each school year.  EOC tests will be given in the spring semester for each of the following courses: 
English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology, and US History.
