Academic Advising

Academic advising at BCHS not only focuses on helping students meet the high school graduation requirements but also on making sure students are meeting the requirements for college admission after graduation.

At BCHS students are dual enrolled in both a high school and a college (Blinn College). During student advising sessions, both transcripts and plans are examined in order to register for the correct courses.

Seniors will have two personal graduation advising sessions.  The first graduation session will take place just before the start of their senior year and a parent/guardian must attend this session with their student. The second session will be at the beginning of the spring semester to make sure students are still on the right track to graduate at the end of the semester.

Students and parents who have concerns or questions about scheduling, registration or transcripts are encouraged to call or set up an appointment so that we can answer any questions.

PSAT

PSAT will be given in mid-October at Bryan Collegiate each academic year.  It will be administered to all currently enrolled 9th, 10th and 11th grade students at no cost.
