Administration Biographies
Dr. Desiree Caperton, Principal
Dr. Caperton started her education career in the fall of 1998 in Humble ISD. In the fall of 2003 she came to Bryan ISD and has stayed. With almost 30 years in education, Dr. Caperton has served in various roles as a classroom teacher, athletics coach, high school counselor, bilingual and migrant programs compliance coordinator, associate principal and principal at several campuses. Dr. Caperton earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a focus on Marketing Management from the University of Arkansas in 1998. She earned a Master of Education in Secondary Education and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Sam Houston State University in 2002 and 2005. In 2010, Dr. Caperton earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M University.
Dana Bechuck, Associate Principal
Mrs. Bechuck began her teaching career in Aldine ISD in the fall of 2005. She later worked in the Anderson-Shiro school district before coming to Bryan ISD to help open Bryan Collegiate High School in the fall of 2007. Mrs. Bechuck taught PreAP English I & II for six years before developing the Path College Career (PCC) course sequence and department where she taught both PCC I & III. Mrs. Bechuck has served as the Bryan Collegiate Instructional Coach and was at the forefront of developing numerous campus initiatives such as the school wide literacy initiative, student volunteer requirements, and the implementation of the ICU/CCU program.
Dana Bechuck earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Texas A&M University in 2004. She earned her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University in 2006. Most recently, Dana completed the Educational Leadership and Principal Preparation Program from Stephen F. Austin State University.
